According to Yonhap News on the same day, the 119 emergency medical team, dispatched immediately after receiving the report, transported Private A to the hospital, but he ultimately died.

The unit to which Private A belonged was conducting group jogging for physical training in the morning hours to avoid the midday heat, following the summer heat regulations.
