Meeting at the Japanese Ambassador's Residence
Discussion on Expanding Private Sector Economic Cooperation
Yoon Jin-sik, Chairman of the Korea International Trade Association, held a meeting with Koichi Mizushima, Ambassador of Japan to Korea, at the Japanese Ambassador's residence in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul on the 30th, the Trade Association announced. They discussed ways to expand exchanges and private economic cooperation between the two countries.

Chairman Yoon said, "The association established the 'Korea-Japan Exchange Special Committee' last December to promote economic cooperation and exchanges between the two countries. In May and August respectively, we met with the Tokyo Economic Friendship Association and the Kansai Economic Friendship Association to share opinions on revitalizing economic, industrial, and cultural exchanges between the two countries," adding, "We will actively fulfill the role of a private platform so that Korean and Japanese companies can communicate and exchange freely."
He continued, "Since next year marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which is a meaningful year, I hope the Ambassador of Japan to Korea will make greater efforts to promote friendship between Korea and Japan."
