Exclusive Area 335㎡
Children and Guardians Usage Fee 3,000 KRW for 2 Hours
Gangseo-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) will open the "Seoul-style Kids Cafe Hwagok 3-dong Branch" on the 2nd floor of Harrington Tower near Ujangsan Station on the 3rd of next month.
The Seoul-style Kids Cafe is a public indoor play space where children can play safely and freely regardless of weather conditions at an affordable price. The district remodeled the space on the 2nd floor of Harrington Tower to create the Hwagok 3-dong branch.
The facility has an exclusive area of 335㎡ and is composed of visual play space called Imagination Yard, active play space called Challenge Zone, and social play space called Play Zone.
The Imagination Play Yard features a beam projector surrounding three sides where children’s drawings are vividly displayed, providing visual enjoyment and fostering imagination. The Challenge Zone is equipped with various play equipment such as trampolines, tightrope walking, and hill playgrounds to promote physical development as well as a sense of challenge and achievement.
The Play Zone is a role-playing space that helps develop social skills, consisting of camping play, kitchen play, and shopping play areas. Each play space is separated to allow immersion in different scenarios and roles.
The facility is available to children aged 25 months and older residing in Seoul and their guardians. The fee is 2,000 KRW for children and 1,000 KRW for guardians. It operates from Tuesday to Sunday (weekdays 09:30?18:00, weekends 09:30?20:00) and can be used by making a reservation in advance through the Seoul Our Neighborhood Care Portal. The facility is disinfected and cleaned for 30 minutes after each session.
Since opening the first Seoul-style Kids Cafe (Balsan 1-dong Branch) in the Gangseo-gu Childcare Support Center in November last year, the district has been operating it with high community response.
District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon said, “We are very pleased to offer richer and more diverse play experiences to children in our area through the opening of the Hwagok 3-dong branch,” and added, “We will continue to expand care and play facilities where both children and parents can be happy.”
