Invitation of Oh Hye-young, Expert Instructor at Sports Ethics Center
Course Operation, Competition Regulations, Attire, and Response to Misconduct
The Korean Ladies Professional Golf Tour (KLPGT) conducted sexual harassment prevention training for its players.
On the 29th, KLPGT invited Oh Hye-young, a specialist instructor from the Sports Ethics Center, to the KG Ladies Open tournament venue at Turning Point CC in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do. The training aimed to raise awareness among players about potential sexual violence and harassment situations that may occur during tournaments and to equip them with appropriate response skills. Park Ji-young, chairperson of the Players' Committee, said, "It is very meaningful that KLPGT regularly conducts such training to provide useful information," adding, "I believe this training will be very helpful to the players."
To support the growth of players, KLPGT provided the same training not only for the regular tour but also for the Dream (2nd tier) Tour and Jump (3rd tier) Tour. The Champions (Senior) Tour offered various educational programs, including golf rules, etiquette, anti-doping education, and first aid training. After the sexual harassment prevention training, the Players' Committee and KLPGT held a communication session to exchange diverse opinions regarding course operations, tournament regulations, attire, and responses to unfair practices.
