Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Kang Junseok) announced that more than 20 port officials from the government of El Salvador visited Busan Port from the 29th to the 30th.
This visit was part of the Capacity Building Project for Maritime and Port Management in El Salvador, supported by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and implemented by the Korea Port Association.
On the 29th, the El Salvador government officials visited the North Port Redevelopment PR Center, where they were briefed on the current status and future plans of the redevelopment project. On the 30th, at the New Port PR Center, they learned about the construction process, operational status, and future plans of the New Port, showing great interest in the advanced port operation system.
Koo Jarim, Head of BPA Global Business Division, stated, "We expect that this visit will greatly contribute to strengthening El Salvador's maritime and port management capabilities," and added, "We hope that cooperation between the two countries in the port sector will continue to grow."
