K-Desserts and Local Famous Bakeries Present Chuseok Gifts
From Seoul Hotspots to Daejeon Seongsimdang... Exclusive Products Also Offered
Expanded Items and Quantities Compared to Last Year
Lotte Department Store announced on the 1st that this year’s Chuseok gift sets will feature selected K-desserts and famous bakery products representing various regions.
According to Lotte Department Store, K-desserts have recently gained popularity as holiday gift sets, especially among the 2030 generation. Among the gift sets at Lotte Department Store’s main branch this Lunar New Year, sales of product categories such as Hangwa and Yanggaeng increased by about 50% compared to last year. Customers in their 20s and 30s accounted for approximately 40% of the sales in these categories.

Accordingly, Lotte Department Store has tripled the number of K-dessert items compared to last year and increased the quantity by about 30% this year.
First, premium K-desserts have been prepared. The famous dessert brand from Seorae Village, 'Kimssi Buin,' will exclusively offer at Lotte Department Store the 'Beautiful Our Traditional Snack Set (214,000 KRW),' which includes traditional sweets such as Gaeseong Juak, Maejakgwa, Hongokjeonggwa, and Ginseng Pyeon. The snack brand '1994SEOUL' will present the 'Wooden 3-Tier Gift Set (190,000 KRW),' which can be custom-ordered with dried persimmon dango, songpyeon, hangwa, and more. The 'Dalhangari Fruit Songpyeon (74,000 KRW)' gift set from 'Gachi Seoul,' featuring fruit-shaped songpyeon in a moon jar package, is also exclusive to Lotte Department Store.
In addition to traditional desserts, gift sets featuring famous desserts and bakeries representing various regions have been planned. First, the 'Top 10 Seoul Hot Place Desserts' are introduced. These include ▲'Atelier Pond,' a premium dessert brand in Hannam-dong, offering a '3 Types of Pound Cake & Plate Set (290,000 KRW)' ▲'Lemandore,' a French dessert specialty shop in Seocho-dong, with a 'Madeleine Gift Box (30,000 KRW)' ▲'Mimu,' a pastry specialty store in Cheongdam-dong, offering 'Ganache Sand Cookies (96,000 KRW)' ▲and 'Jean Boulangerie,' a century-old bakery in Nakseongdae, with a 'Custom Jeonbyeong Set (53,800 KRW).'
Chuseok gift sets from representative regional bakeries are also available. These include ▲'Tobak Isolated Affection 3-Tier Gift Set (59,000 KRW),' featuring rice cakes, manjoo, and yakgwa from Seongsimdang in Daejeon ▲'Ang Manjoo Set (39,000 KRW)' from Iseongdang in Gunsan ▲'Master Gift Set A (63,200 KRW)' from Ans Bakery in Incheon ▲'Baked Cookie Set M (53,000 KRW)' from OPS in Busan ▲and 'Master Gift Set No. 1 (133,500 KRW)' from Kim Youngmo Confectionery in Seoul.
