The Korea Exchange announced on the 30th that it will conduct the '2024 KRX Securities and Derivatives Academic Research Support Project' to encourage research activities on securities and derivatives in academia and the financial industry and to support the development of the Korean capital market.
Through this project, creative and practical research topics related to the development of the securities and derivatives market will be selected, academic research funds will be provided, and cash prizes will be awarded to papers selected as outstanding works.
The Exchange will review submitted research proposals and provide research funding of up to 45 million KRW if the support requirements, such as publication in major academic journals, are met.
Among the submitted papers, three will be selected to receive a total of 22 million KRW in prizes and plaques, including 10 million KRW for the Grand Prize, 7 million KRW for the Excellence Award, and 5 million KRW for the Encouragement Award.
