A couple's story was shared about how a woman they met through a club, after a 'one-night mistake,' suddenly filed an out-of-wedlock child lawsuit six years later, putting their marriage at risk.

On the 28th episode of JTBC's 'Case Manager,' the story of a woman in her 30s, Ms. A, who is suffering after her husband got involved in an out-of-wedlock child lawsuit, was introduced. Ms. A married her husband two years ago after being introduced through an acquaintance and had a child. However, when Ms. A was five months pregnant, a summons arrived at their home one day.

Seeing the summons, Ms. A was shocked. It revealed that her husband had an out-of-wedlock child. The plaintiff, Ms. B, claimed in the summons, "After learning about the pregnancy, I contacted the man, but he did not respond. One day, he even deleted his contact information and disappeared. I suspected the child was his, so I requested a DNA test, which confirmed paternity." She demanded 100 million won in past child support for the 5-year-old and 1.5 million won monthly for future child support from Ms. A's husband.

Upon learning this, Ms. A confronted her husband, asking, "Is this a fraudulent marriage?" But her husband insisted, "I didn't know I had a child," feeling wronged. He explained, "The claim that I dated Ms. B for a year is a lie. We met six years ago in a photography club. Ms. B is three years older than me. She was the one who actively contacted me first, and we had a brief two-week flirtation. Then, during a trip with club members, we separated from the group and spent some time alone, leading to a one-night mistake. We agreed to forget it, and I left the club afterward." Acquaintances from the photography club also said the two were not a couple. Ms. B claimed she informed him about the pregnancy in advance, but there was no evidence to support this. Furthermore, the husband was baffled, saying, "I have not changed my contact information for 20 years."

It was also revealed that Ms. B lied about her age. She was actually 12 years older than Ms. A's husband and was raising two children from two divorces, each with different fathers. Including the child with Ms. A's husband, she was raising three children alone. Additionally, it was uncovered that Ms. B married another man while pregnant with Ms. A's husband's child.

The court ruled, "Since paternity is confirmed, the husband must pay child support, but at a slightly lower amount than what Ms. B demanded." Ms. B proposed, "If I receive about 200 million won as a lump sum, I will settle," but she is preventing Ms. A's husband from meeting the out-of-wedlock child. Attorney Park Ji-hoon said, "Since paternity is confirmed, child support must be paid. However, if the husband pays child support, Ms. B should grant visitation rights so he can see the child."

Netizens reacted with comments such as, "The father of three kids is different for each? That's dizzying," "Do they have to pay for something that happened six years ago?" "This happens a lot in clubs," "She gave birth on her own terms and only informed six years later; she should take responsibility," "Still, since paternity is confirmed, child support should be paid," "From the husband's perspective, it must feel unfair," and "If it were my husband, I'd divorce immediately."
