On the 30th, the Security Investigation Division of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced that they are conducting a search and seizure at the Minjung Democracy Party headquarters located in Jongno-gu, Seoul, on suspicion of violating the National Security Act.

The Minjung Democracy Party was officially registered in November 2016 under the name 'Hwansubokjip Party' and changed its name to Minjung Democracy Party in 2017.

A police official stated, "Since this is an ongoing investigation, we cannot disclose specific details," adding, "We are currently conducting a forced investigation at the party headquarters."
