National Health Insurance Service BNUK Headquarters Signs MOU for Establishing ESG Cooperation System

Agreement with Busan Dong-gu and Busan Sasang Senior Clubs

Promoting Senior Employment and Carbon Neutrality Initiatives

The Busan Ulsan Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters of the National Health Insurance Service (Director Choi Deokgeun) signed a business agreement on the 29th with the Busan Dong-gu Senior Club (Director Hong Younghee) and the Busan Sasang Senior Club (Director Jung Wooyong) to promote the creation of jobs for the elderly and the activation of carbon neutrality practices.

This agreement aims to establish an ESG cooperation system within the local community to implement carbon neutrality.

According to the agreement, employees of the organization will collect discarded PET bottles, and seniors will sort the collected bottles so they can be processed. The sorted PET bottles will be turned into various upcycled products (such as towels and work vests) at the ESG Center in Dong-gu, Busan, generating sales revenue and contributing to the virtuous cycle of resources.

This agreement is especially meaningful as it not only contributes to solving environmental issues but also provides new job opportunities for seniors in the local community.

Director Choi Deokgeun stated, "Through actions we can take in our daily lives, we are able to contribute to the practice of carbon neutrality and the creation of local jobs," and added, "The Busan Ulsan Gyeongnam Headquarters will continue to promote regional coexistence and practice sustainable ESG management."
