On the 30th, Judge Han Jeong-seok, in charge of warrants at the Seoul Southern District Court, conducted the warrant review for Mr. A, a man in his 50s accused of attempted murder, starting around 10:30 a.m. The decision on whether to detain Mr. A is expected to be made as early as late afternoon on the same day.

Mr. A, appearing dressed in a black top and navy hat, entered the courtroom without responding to reporters' questions such as "Did you really plan to kill?" and "How did you bring in the weapon?"

Earlier, on the 28th at 2:24 p.m., Mr. A was caught in the act at the Seoul Southern District Court after stabbing Lee, the CEO of Haru Invest, in the right side of his neck with a weapon while sitting in the audience during the trial. Lee was transported to a hospital for treatment but is reported to be in no life-threatening condition.

During police investigation, he reportedly stated that he committed the crime out of dissatisfaction with losses caused by the suspension of withdrawals.

Lee was arrested and indicted in February on charges of fraudulently receiving coins worth about 1.4 trillion won by deceiving customers from March 2020 to June last year, promising principal guarantees and the highest returns in the industry when depositing with Haru Invest. He was released on bail on the 25th of last month.
