Ulsan: Working Together, Caring Together
Ulsan City will hold a commemorative ceremony for the '2024 Gender Equality Week (September 1-7)' at 2 PM on the 2nd floor main auditorium of City Hall on the 30th.
This ceremony, under the theme 'Ulsan, a Gender-Equal City Where We Work and Care Together,' aims to raise citizens' awareness of gender equality and promote the spread of a gender-equal culture.
The event will be attended by about 500 people, including local women leaders, organization members, and general citizens. The program includes an opening performance (popera, youth orchestra), a themed video screening, commendations for distinguished individuals (21 people), a commemorative speech, and a card-setting play (performance).
In the commendation section, 21 individuals, including Kim Youngsook from the Jungang-dong Residents' Autonomy Committee, will receive awards from the Mayor of Ulsan for their contributions to gender equality and the advancement of women's social participation and rights.
A city official stated, "We hope that during the 2024 Gender Equality Week, citizens will show interest and participate in various events to enhance awareness of gender equality and help establish a culture of gender equality in daily life."
