KB Asset Management launched customized target date funds (TDFs) for investors aiming to retire in 2060 on the 30th. With the expansion of the TDF lineup, investors now have a wider range of pension product options.
The newly established products include two types of ‘KB On-Gukmin TDF 2060 (H), (UH)’ and one ‘KB Dynamic TDF 2060,’ totaling three products. Since the target date is more than 30 years away, these are suitable for investors such as young professionals who want to maximize investment effects through long-term investment.
KB Asset Management operates two TDF product series: ‘KB On-Gukmin TDF’ for conservative investors who want to maximize compound interest effects with low fees, and ‘KB Dynamic TDF’ for investors seeking active market responses.
‘KB On-Gukmin TDF’ is a passive fund with low fees and low volatility, allowing for high compound interest effects over long-term investments. It maintains solid performance even in volatile markets by holding a high proportion of growth stocks.
‘KB Dynamic TDF’ is an active fund that actively responds to market volatility by investing in various assets such as real estate and commodities to respond swiftly to market conditions. During periods of a strong dollar, it lowers the proportion of currency hedging and pursues an aggressive asset allocation strategy.
Thanks to stable performance, approximately 273 billion KRW has flowed into the ‘KB On-Gukmin & Dynamic TDF’ series so far this year. As a result, KB Asset Management’s TDF market share rose by 0.8 percentage points from 12.5% at the end of last year to 13.3% as of August 27.
Among the top five TDF management companies in the industry, KB Asset Management is the only one to have increased its market share.
‘KB On-Gukmin & Dynamic TDF’ is managed with the lowest fees in the industry (annual 0.31?0.45%) among TDF series with assets under management exceeding 100 billion KRW.
Lee Seok-hee, head of the Pension WM Division at KB Asset Management, stated, “KB Asset Management has an optimized asset allocation fund management system based on its own research capabilities. By utilizing the On-Gukmin & Dynamic TDFs, which have industry-low fees and specialized management know-how, investors can achieve both stable long-term returns and capital gains.”
