A District in Seoul Offers 1 Million Won in Interest for Apartment Jeonse Loans

Recruitment for Homeless Newlyweds... Applications Accepted from September 2 to October 1

Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) is implementing the ‘Newlywed Couple Jeonse Loan Interest Support Project.’

The district is promoting the ‘Newlywed Couple Jeonse Loan Interest Support Project’ starting this year to alleviate the housing cost burden and improve the living environment for newlywed couples without homes in the area.

The support includes an annual payment of interest up to 1,000,000 KRW within 1.5% of the principal balance of the jeonse loan, and applicants who maintain eligibility can reapply for support for up to two years.

The eligible recipients are newlywed couples without homes who have registered their marriage within the last seven years, reside in housing, apartments, or residential officetels in Guro-gu with a floor area of 85㎡ or less, and have a combined annual income of 97 million KRW or less. However, those who are ▲basic livelihood security recipients ▲public rental housing residents ▲recipients of Housing and Urban Fund loans ▲households benefiting from similar support programs from Seoul City or other institutions are excluded.

Applications can be submitted in person at the Housing Division of Guro-gu Office or by mail from September 2 to October 1.
