Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that the ‘Geumcheon G-Valley Love Gift Certificate’ will be issued at 10 a.m. on September 3 and September 10 in celebration of the Chuseok holiday.

The ‘Geumcheon G-Valley Love Gift Certificate’ is a mobile local gift certificate issued to promote consumption within the region and increase sales for small business owners. Individuals can purchase the gift certificates at a 5% discount within a monthly limit of 500,000 KRW, and receive a 30% income deduction benefit during year-end tax settlement.

The gift certificates can be purchased via account transfer or credit card through the Seoul Pay Plus (SeoulPay+) app. They can be used at approximately 6,700 affiliated stores in the area, including cafes, restaurants, pharmacies, and hair salons.

This issuance is divided into 8 billion KRW for the holiday issuance and 1 billion KRW for the regular issuance. The issuance dates are 10 a.m. on September 3 for 8 billion KRW and 10 a.m. on September 10 for 1 billion KRW.

Regular issuance has been conducted on the first Friday of every month since May, but due to the Chuseok holiday issuance in the first week, the September issuance will be held on the second Tuesday.

The district also runs a refund event where people who use gift certificates worth 100,000 KRW or more each month are randomly selected to receive gift certificates worth 10,000 KRW.

In celebration of the Chuseok holiday, the refund event will be expanded. Except for the first month of regular issuance, 1,000 people were drawn each month, but for September only, the number of winners will be increased to 2,000.

Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, “We hope that by expanding the issuance of gift certificates during the consumption-heavy Chuseok holiday, we can ease the financial burden on households preparing for the holiday. Additionally, by expanding the gift certificate refund event, we hope to promote holiday consumption so that not only residents but also small business owners can have a more prosperous holiday.”

For more details, inquiries can be made to the Geumcheon-gu Office Regional Economy Division or the Seoul Pay Plus call center.
