CJ CheilJedang announced on the 29th that it has been selected as an Excellent Labor-Management Culture Company for 2024, hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.


The Excellent Labor-Management Culture Company certification system selects and supports companies that form cooperative labor-management relations and exemplary practice of social responsibility. This year, out of 145 applicant companies, a total of 35 companies including CJ CheilJedang were selected through document screening and case presentation evaluations.

CJ CheilJedang was recognized for its various activities to promote win-win cooperation between prime contractors and subcontractors. Notably, last year, it established a 56 billion KRW win-win fund for partner small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and introduced the large corporation win-win cooperation type Tomorrow Filling Deduction for the first time as a private company, contributing to employment stability and wage gap reduction in SMEs.


The formation of trust through continuous dialogue and communication between labor and management was also reflected in the selection results. CJ CheilJedang and the labor union have maintained a healthy labor-management relationship, including early settlement of this year’s wage agreement.


In addition, CJ CheilJedang introduced the SME win-win brand "Jeulgeoun Donghaeng" to discover competitive partners and support funding, capabilities, and sales channels. The company is also promoting labor-management cooperation and organizational culture improvement centered on the "Open Council," a consultative body where employee representatives and management discuss and implement improvements to the company’s personnel system and welfare benefits.


Jeon Eunhong, head of the Labor-Management Cooperation Team at CJ CheilJedang, said, "This award is the result of trust and cooperation through mutual concession between labor and management," adding, "We will continue to build a stable labor-management relationship based on the value of coexistence and grow together."
