KPGA Tour Lexus Masters Opens on 29th

Golf players have a chance to receive a Lexus hybrid vehicle.
The Korean Professional Golf Association (KPGA) Tour Lexus Masters, held over four days from the 29th at A-One CC (par 72, 7,121 yards) in Yangsan, Gyeongnam, is a fierce battleground. This is a newly established tournament this year. The winner will be decided through 72-hole stroke play. The total prize money is 1 billion KRW, with the winner's prize being 200 million KRW.
A luxury car can be won with a hole-in-one. The prizes are set at the 6th and 17th holes (both par 3). The first player to record a hole-in-one will receive a Lexus vehicle as the hole-in-one prize. The 6th hole offers a Lexus NX 350h, and the 17th hole offers a Lexus ES 300h. Both vehicles are valued at approximately 60 million KRW. So far this season, there have been a total of 9 hole-in-ones on the KPGA Tour. In the last two tournaments, the Bizplay-Wonder Club Open and the KPGA Gunsan CC Open, there were two hole-in-ones each.
The Lexus Masters is held 46 days after the KPGA Gunsan CC Open concluded last month. Jang Yubin is the strongest favorite to win. In the 12 tournaments of the KPGA Tour's first half, he has recorded 1 win, 3 runner-up finishes, and has been in the top 10 a total of 8 times. He ranks first in average score and Genesis Award points. Leading with a long drive average distance of 317.71 yards (1st place), he dominates the domestic men's tour.
Jang Yubin said about his recent condition, "During the break, I ate a lot of delicious food and took a short trip. I recharged." He added, "I did not neglect training. I focused on physical training. I will do my best to achieve good results in the second half of the year, just like in the first half."
