Gyeongnam Nonghyup and Hapcheon Nonghyup Operate 'Rural House Call Bus'

Comprehensive Medical Services Provided in Hapcheon-eup

Gyeongnam Nonghyup and Hapcheon County operated the "Rural Visiting Medical Bus" on the 27th in Hapcheon-eup, Hapcheon County, Gyeongsangnam-do, providing mobile medical services to more than 200 local farmers and residents to address the medical service gap in rural areas.


The "Rural Visiting Medical Bus" project provides comprehensive medical services such as medical checkups, oral examinations, and vision tests with magnifier support to residents in rural areas where hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies are lacking.

The event was attended by Kim Yuncheol, the governor of Hapcheon County, Kang Moonkyu, Deputy Head of the Economic Headquarters at Gyeongnam Nonghyup, Do Kimun, Head of the Hapcheon County branch of Nonghyup, and Na Sangjeong, President of Hapcheon Nonghyup.


Medical staff from the Integrated Health and Medical Volunteer Association participated to provide traditional Korean medicine services, along with oral examinations and vision and magnifier support services.


President Na stated, "I am pleased to be part of such a meaningful project that delivers healthy lives to residents with limited access to medical benefits and helps fill the medical service gap in rural areas. We will continue to identify and implement various projects needed by our local farmers to create a vibrant rural environment."


Deputy Head Kang said, "As we approach a super-aged society, we decided to operate the Rural Visiting Medical Bus to improve medical accessibility and promote the health of rural communities, where medical systems are vulnerable. Gyeongnam Nonghyup will continue to lead the way in creating hopeful and happy rural communities through various welfare projects."
