Visiting the Bukdu 1-ri Senior Center for the 'Mobile Health Clinic'

Kim Kyung-hee, mayor of Icheon City, expressed her commitment to addressing disparities in healthcare services between regions.

On the 27th, Mayor Kim visited the Bukdu 1-ri Senior Center in Yul-myeon along with the 'Visiting Health Center' operation team from the Nambu Integrated Health Center and made these remarks.

The 'Visiting Health Center' of the Nambu Integrated Health Center, accompanied by oriental medicine doctors and dentists, visits frontline senior centers in the southern region such as Janghowon-eup, Seolseong-myeon, and Yul-myeon to provide comprehensive health management services to medically vulnerable seniors aged 65 and older, including ▲basic health checkups such as blood pressure, blood sugar, and anemia ▲oriental medicine treatments such as acupuncture ▲oral health checkup consultations ▲nutrition counseling.

During the visit, Mayor Kim said, "Through the 'Visiting Health Center' that comes to the living spaces (senior centers), we will help seniors practice healthy living," adding, "We will especially strive to strengthen healthcare services in the southern region to reduce disparities between areas."

At the site visit, the 'Visiting Mind Relief Bus' team operated by the Icheon City Mental Health Welfare Center also provided mental health psychological support services to the seniors.

Meanwhile, the 'Visiting Health Center' has so far visited 33 senior centers in Seolseong-myeon and 12 in Yul-myeon, providing healthcare services to 474 residents.
