Fasoo announced on the 27th that it has released a new version of its enterprise data backup solution, ‘FC-BR (Fasoo Content Backup and Recovery)’, enhanced with artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.
Fasoo’s FC-BR identifies sensitive information in backup data based on AI, enabling safer management of personal information and increasing the usability of the data.
FC-BR is a file-centric backup solution that works in conjunction with Fasoo’s document protection solutions to efficiently prepare against data loss from ransomware attacks and other threats. It automatically backs up only the necessary documents in real-time and allows simple recovery with one click. It can automatically set backup targets based on security levels or classification labels from Fasoo’s data security solutions such as ‘Fasoo Enterprise DRM (FED)’ and data identification and classification solution ‘Fasoo Data Radar (FDR)’, as well as by department, user, or document extension, offering excellent efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
The new FC-BR identifies sensitive information such as personal data contained within backed-up documents using AI. It detects sensitive information not only in plain text documents but also within images or PDFs. Through AI-based natural language processing technology, it understands context even in complex sentences and can detect various types of personal information such as gender, name, and address. The detection results can also be easily checked through a file preview function without the need to install separate apps or download files.
An AI-based Semantic Search feature has also been added. It understands the meaning of searches and considers the meanings and contexts of words to present accurate search results in order of relevance.
This update of FC-BR was released as part of Fasoo’s AI strategy, which is evolving into an AI company by launching enterprise LLM ‘Ellm’. Under the AI vision of ‘AI-Powered Applications’, Fasoo is sequentially adding AI features to its existing solution portfolio. Recently, it introduced the document management solution ‘Wrapsody’ with an ‘AI Assistant’ feature capable of document summarization and semantic search, as well as the external collaboration platform ‘Wrapsody eCo’.
