A total of 8.2 billion KRW will be allocated to customized welfare projects for target groups such as childcare, seniors, persons with disabilities, youth, and women, including support for part-time childcare services, senior center operations, support for activities and jobs for persons with disabilities, operation of youth culture and arts creation centers, establishment of women-friendly cities, housing benefits, and emergency welfare.

Additionally, 100 million KRW will be invested to build the Jungnang Donghaeng Sarangnet website, a comprehensive welfare platform aimed at improving accessibility to various welfare service information.

Alongside this, to ensure smooth progress of major investment pledge projects of the 8th local government administration, 500 million KRW will be invested in the construction costs for the 2nd Bang Jeong-hwan Education Support Center, and 130 million KRW for the design competition for the construction of the Muk 1-dong complex building.

Investment will also be evenly distributed in the culture and sports sector to improve residents' leisure environment. For the activation of winter sports, 470 million KRW will be allocated to the Jungnang Snow Sledding Park; 210 million KRW for remodeling the district public information library to create a safe and pleasant reading environment; and 50 million KRW for a specialized tree planting project to enhance the healing and walking functions of Mangwoo History and Culture Park.

The funding for this supplementary budget comes from 10 billion KRW of the 2023 fiscal year settlement surplus, 3.9 billion KRW in national and city subsidies, and 4.4 billion KRW secured through expenditure restructuring such as reducing rigid expenses.

Ryu Gyeong-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, stated, “This supplementary budget focuses on revitalizing the local economy and welfare projects for a safe urban environment and livelihood stability where residents can live with peace of mind.
