Highlighting Historical and Cultural Value... Daegu Catholic University Museum's Humanities Lecture "Gyeongsan, Blooming Through Folklore" Humanities on the Road Leaflet.

This program is designed to shed new light on the historical and cultural value of legends and folktales from the Gyeongsan region, allowing local residents to experience them firsthand. It will be held over a total of 10 sessions from September 12 to October 25, and all programs are offered free of charge for adults.

Participants will have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Gyeongsan's rich folktales and historical stories through activities such as hands-on experiences, lectures, tours, and creative projects centered around these tales.

Key programs include "Draw, Folktale Art Studio," an activity where participants illustrate the legend of Turtle Rock and the story of two great monks of Palgongsan; "Depart, Folktale Travel Agency," a tour of Hwansungsa Temple and Gyejeong Forest in Gyeongsan; and "Publish, Folktale Publishing House," a creative program where participants make their own folktale books.

In particular, this program offers a variety of experiences, such as "Dance, Blossoming Like a Flower," which recreates traditional dances from folktales, and lectures exploring the historical value of folktales in the Samguk Yusa, allowing participants to enjoy diverse activities.

Kang Jonghun, Director of the Daegu Catholic University Museum, said, "Through this program, we hope that local residents will rediscover the historical significance embedded in Gyeongsan's legends and folktales, and that we can provide an experience where the humanities come alive in everyday life."
