This is the bright smile of Lydia Ko (New Zealand), the 2024 Paris Olympic gold medalist. On the 25th (local time), she posed holding the trophy at the 'Swilcan Bridge' after winning the AIG Women's Open (total prize money $9.5 million), the final major tournament of the 2024 LPGA Tour season, held at the St Andrews Old Course (par 72, 6,784 yards) in St Andrews, Scotland, UK.

Lydia Ko earned her second win of the season and 21st career victory, including three major titles, seven months after the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions in January. The winner's prize money was $1,425,000 (approximately 1.9 billion KRW).

The 'Swilcan Bridge' is a famous landmark of the 'golf sanctuary' St Andrews Old Course. It is the bridge connecting the 1st and 18th holes (both par 4). Lydia Ko smiled and said, "I first played here in 2013 when I was 16 years old. Winning at this historic place with my family feels like a fairy tale." [St Andrews (Scotland) = AFP·Yonhap News]
