A man in his 30s was caught trying to board a plane using an acquaintance's ID card and was handed over to the police.

On the 26th, according to Gwangsan Police Station in Gwangju, a man in his 30s, Mr. A, was booked on charges of attempting to board a plane using someone else's ID (violation of the Aviation Security Act, etc.).

Mr. A attempted to check in for a flight to Jeju at Gwangju Airport around 4 p.m. on the 24th using a friend's ID card. Airport security personnel noticed that Mr. A's appearance did not match the photo on the ID and caught him on the spot, then handed him over to the police.

He reportedly stated, "I lost my ID, so I borrowed one from a friend."
