Hyundai Transys has established a dedicated safety education space to shift its safety training from theory-based to experience-based learning. In this space, trainees can experience various accident scenarios such as electric shocks and falls through virtual reality (VR) and practice applying actual safety protective gear, enabling more hands-on safety education.

On the 26th, Hyundai Transys announced the opening of a 301㎡ Safety Experience Education Center at its Jigok Plant in Seosan, Chungnam. The center was designed to replicate the actual production environment to allow employees to experience various safety accidents and develop crisis response skills.

The safety experience education consists of a total of 10 courses, including ▲virtual safety experience ▲safety protective gear experience ▲emergency response experience ▲fire suppression ▲use of hazardous equipment.

The virtual safety experience allows users to directly experience eight accident scenarios such as press entrapment, electric shock, and falls from a first-person perspective using VR devices, simulating situations where parts of the body get caught during factory equipment operation. The safety protective gear experience recreates situations where objects fall in the production site, allowing participants to feel the impact intensity of direct and indirect hits as in real situations. The emergency response experience enables trainees to practice cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) usage on mannequins in case of worker emergencies.

Hyundai Transys plans to conduct this safety experience education starting with new employees and expand the training to all employees at domestic business sites by next year.

Kim Se-yeol, Head of Safety and Health at Hyundai Transys (Executive Director), stated, "Through the Safety Experience Education Center, we will enhance crisis response capabilities and reduce safety accidents to advance workplace safety."
