Real-time Jeonse Fraud Information Available on Website and KakaoTalk Channel...Improving Information Accessibility for Young Adults Severely Affected...Bidirectional Communication Enabled Through Jeonse Fraud Support Applications and Q&A Services
Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) has launched the ‘Jeonse Fraud Damage 365 Open Window,’ which gathers various information related to Jeonse fraud damage in one place, on the district’s website and KakaoTalk channel.
Following the Jeonse damage survey conducted in Gwanak-gu last April, there were many requests to establish a window where information on support for Jeonse damage victims and damage prevention could be easily accessed at a glance.
Accordingly, the district opened the ‘Jeonse Fraud Damage 365 Open Window’ on its website to promptly deliver various policies and information, including government support under the Special Act on Jeonse Fraud Damage, to residents in real time.
At the Jeonse Fraud Damage 365 Open Window, victims of Jeonse fraud can apply for victim determination and support projects, and there is a Q&A window enabling two-way communication.
Additionally, considering that most Jeonse fraud victims are young people and newlyweds, the district also opened the Jeonse Fraud Damage 365 Open Window on the KakaoTalk channel. An automatic response function for frequently asked questions related to Jeonse damage and a Jeonse fraud response manual were introduced to improve information accessibility for the younger generation, who are greatly affected by Jeonse fraud.
Through the ‘Jeonse Fraud Damage 365 Open Window,’ the district is not only supporting victims but also striving to prevent Jeonse damage that may occur during new lease contracts. Based on the cases received by the Gwanak-gu Jeonse Damage Support Center, various types of Jeonse fraud and prevention methods are shared to raise residents’ awareness of real estate transactions and Jeonse fraud.
The ‘Jeonse Fraud Damage 365 Open Window’ can be accessed on the district website (Information by category → City/Housing/Real Estate → Jeonse Fraud Damage 365 Open Window) and the KakaoTalk channel (Gwanak-gu Jeonse Fraud Damage 365 Open Window).
The district operates the ‘Single-Person Household Jeonse and Monthly Rent Safe Contract Assistance Service,’ which accompanies residents throughout the entire process from real estate contract consultation to the actual contract, and has produced and distributed a ‘Guide Leaflet for Safe Lease Contracts’.
Furthermore, to ensure that support for Jeonse fraud victims is not overlooked, the district operates the ‘Anytime, Anywhere Visiting Counseling System’ and ‘Our Neighborhood On-site Counseling Office,’ making multifaceted efforts to prevent Jeonse fraud damage and support victims.
Park Jun-hee, Mayor of Gwanak-gu, said, “We expect the Jeonse Fraud Damage 365 Open Window to serve as a customized guide for residents who have suffered Jeonse fraud as well as tenants preparing for Jeonse contracts,” adding, “We will continue to develop various policies to achieve zero Jeonse fraud.”
