Recruiting Performing Artists Full of Talent and Passion in Music, Dance, Magic, etc. Until September 12

Final Competition on September 29 at 'Lesroad Busker Festival 2024'

Mapo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Park Gang-su) is publicly recruiting talented and passionate performing artists to participate in the ‘Red Road Busker Festival 2024’.


This festival is organized to contribute to the revitalization of tourism in Mapo-gu, a cultural and artistic hub, by discovering hidden talents and providing various performance opportunities.


The festival is scheduled to be held on September 29, 2024, at Hongdae Red Road R1.


Applications are open until 6 PM on Thursday, September 12, 2024, and anyone interested in street performances, including both domestic and international groups and individuals, can participate.


The recruitment fields include all performance genres such as music, dance, and magic. Those wishing to participate should submit an application form along with a performance video of up to 5 minutes via email.

The district will select the top 30 teams through the first document screening, and on September 29 at 11 AM, the final 8 teams will be announced after the second on-site screening on the main stage.


These 8 teams will compete in the final contest starting at 6 PM on the same day, and the winning team will be decided based on a comprehensive evaluation of judges’ scores and audience response.


The total prize money amounts to 24.4 million KRW, with 1 grand prize team receiving 10 million KRW, 1 excellence award team receiving 5 million KRW, 2 teams each for the outstanding and popularity awards receiving 1 million KRW, 2 participation award teams receiving 500,000 KRW, and 22 preliminary round winners receiving 200,000 KRW each, along with certificates and prize money.


In particular, the final winning teams will also receive additional support for album production, making the Red Road Busker Festival a stepping stone for passionate and talented performing artists to realize their dreams.
