LG Uplus Extends Sponsorship for Pocket Billiards National Representatives Seoseo Ah and Lee Harin for 3 More Years

LG Uplus announced on the 25th that it has extended its sponsorship of Korean women's pocket billiards national team players Seo Seo-a and Lee Ha-rin for three more years.

LG Uplus, which has been sponsoring women's pocket billiards national team players Seo Seo-a and Lee Ha-rin, affiliated with the Korea Billiards Federation, for three years since 2021, has decided to extend the sponsorship for another three years until 2027. The purpose is to fully support promising players with the potential to become world champions and to create an environment where they can focus solely on training to help them achieve their big dreams.


Seo Seo-a (22), affiliated with the Jeonnam Billiards Federation, is ranked No. 1 domestically and No. 4 in the world. She was the runner-up at the 2018 World Junior Pocket Billiards Championship, winner of the 2019 Korea Billiards Federation President’s Cup National Billiards Tournament, two-time consecutive champion at the 2020-2021 National Center of the Country Cup National Billiards Tournament, and winner of both singles and doubles at the 2021 Korea Sports Council President’s Cup Championship. At the age of 19, she became the youngest player in South Korea to be ranked No. 1 in pocket billiards domestically.


Lee Ha-rin (24), affiliated with the Incheon City Sports Council, is ranked No. 4 domestically and was the first Korean player in pocket billiards history to reach the finals of the World Junior Championship. She achieved a three-peat at the 10th to 12th National Center of the Country Cup National Billiards Tournaments, and notably at the 12th tournament, she won two titles in the women's pocket 10-ball and mixed doubles pocket 9-ball events. In 2017, she also won first place in the 9-ball high school division at the National Student Billiards Championship and won the junior individual doubles event at the Asian Pocket Billiards Championship.


The agreement ceremony was held on the 23rd at the LG Uplus Yongsan headquarters, with key figures including Jung Hye-yoon, Head of Marketing Group at LG Uplus (Executive Director), Jin Young-ho, Senior Vice President of the Korea Billiards Federation, and players Seo Seo-a and Lee Ha-rin in attendance. Executive Director Jung said, "I hope this sponsorship extension will provide some support to the players who are striving toward their dreams."
