Reopening the 77-Year-Old Case

On the 22nd (local time), The Hill, a U.S. congressional media outlet, reported that Louise Elizondo, who previously worked at the U.S. Department of Defense, said in a recent interview with the news channel News Nation that the U.S. government discovered one of two "Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena" (UAP) related to the Roswell incident. UAP refers to Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs). The Roswell incident occurred in July 1947 when a flying object crashed in the Roswell desert in New Mexico, USA, and claims arose that alien corpses were found there. At the time, the Roswell Air Force base spokesperson announced that a 'flying saucer' had been found but corrected the statement within hours, saying it was a weather observation balloon.
Elizondo claimed, "The United States has been involved in the recovery of objects and vehicles (aircraft) of unknown origin that are not from our country or any other country we know." He added, "As a nation, we have been interested not only in the vehicles but also in the occupants, including biological specimens," and stated, "We are not alone. In this universe, we are not alone, and that is purely a fact. The U.S. government has known this for decades."
However, DoD spokesperson Sue Gough rebutted, saying, "Elizondo was not in charge of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) when he worked at the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security," and added, "So far, we have found no credible evidence of alien activity."

Meanwhile, Elizondo is known as the person who helped release three of the most famous UFO videos in history after leaving the Department of Defense at the end of 2017. These videos, filmed by U.S. Navy fighter pilots, show UFOs that cannot be explained by human technology.
