On the afternoon of the 23rd, the city of Busan held an anti-corruption and integrity special lecture, "Integrity Live," for all employees at the city hall's main auditorium.

Redefining Integrity with Fun and Inspiration... Busan City Launches Public Service Culture Innovation Busan City Hall.

Hosted by the city and organized by the Integrity Training Institute of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, the special lecture was attended by approximately 700 participants, including Mayor Park Hyungjoon, city officials, and district and county staff.

This special lecture combined the theme of "integrity" with various cultural performance contents such as theater and video, providing both entertainment and inspiration, while at the same time raising awareness of the importance of integrity and allowing participants to reflect on its value and meaning.

The program included: an inspiring integrity video; an "integrity play" depicting power abuse and conflict of interest; a case-based "integrity special lecture" by Kim Saeshin, head of the Integrity Training Institute of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission; and a sand art performance titled "Starry Night," which was a winning entry in the integrity content contest.

In particular, the city expects that this special lecture, by moving away from the traditional monotonous and rigid lecture format, will encourage interactive engagement and interest among employees, enhance understanding of the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act, and the Code of Conduct that public officials must adhere to, and further strengthen the integrity capacity of Busan city officials.

Mayor Park Hyungjoon stated, "In order for Busan to move forward as a 'global hub city,' it is most important to foster a culture of integrity within the organization. I hope everyone always remembers that integrity is the driving force for Busan to become a 'global hub city and a city where people want to live, even if born again.' In addition, I urge everyone to actively implement administrative initiatives and perform their duties fairly to enhance citizens' trust and operate the city administration for the benefit of the citizens."
