1,470 Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral Degrees Awarded
Pukyong National University (President Jang Youngsoo) held the 'August 2024 Degree Conferment Ceremony' on the morning of the 23rd at the university headquarters' second-floor conference hall.
On this day, Pukyong National University conferred degrees to a total of 1,470 graduates, including 1,012 bachelor's, 360 master's, and 98 doctoral degrees.
At the ceremony, 15 students including Kim Jaeun (School of Sustainable Engineering), who achieved outstanding academic performance, received the President's Commendation, and Shin Dahye (Department of English Language and Literature) received the Alumni Association President's Commendation.
In addition, Kang Uigoo, head of the Busan Consular Corps, received an honorary diploma for his contributions to the development of Pukyong National University.
Pukyong National University set up graduation photo zones throughout the campus so that graduates could commemorate their graduation. The event was also broadcast live online.
President Jang Youngsoo encouraged the graduates, saying, "It is always difficult and challenging to face a new world and new challenges," and added, "I hope you believe in your own abilities and potential. No matter what anyone says, your life belongs to you."
President Jang continued, "I hope you first recognize your own value. The fact that you are standing here proudly today is proof of that," and congratulated the graduates by saying, "I sincerely wish that your future will shine brilliantly with happiness and joy."
