Aerospace Administration and KAERI Hold Joint Workshop on Aviation Innovation in Goheung

Meeting After Appointment of the Head of Aerospace Innovation Division at the Space Aviation Agency

The Korea Aerospace Administration (KASA) and the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) held a workshop on the 23rd at the National Integrated Flight Performance Test Center located in Goheung, Jeollanam-do, to strengthen cooperation in the aviation sector.

Key executives from KASA, including John Lee, Mission Director, and the Head of Aviation Innovation Division, as well as KARI’s Aviation Research Center Director Seungho Kim and other department heads participated in the event. This workshop took place following the appointment of Hyundai Kim as Head of KASA’s Aviation Innovation Division.

Director John Lee emphasized, “Through this workshop, let us discover groundbreaking technologies that can achieve a quantum jump in the future advanced aviation field, propose and design internationally scaled leading and sustainable large-scale projects, and work towards their realization.”

Going forward, both organizations agreed to further strengthen innovative achievements in the aviation sector and continuously cooperate to enable South Korea’s aviation industry to leap forward as a global leader.

After the workshop, attendees toured the National Integrated Flight Performance Test Center to inspect the infrastructure and operational status of the research facilities.
