Dean Choo Byung-gil and 70 Volunteers... Helping Hands at 7 Locations in Muju
Students from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Jeonbuk National University volunteered in the Muju-gun area to help alleviate the shortage of agricultural labor during the summer season.
According to Jeonbuk National University on the 23rd, the rural volunteer group "Hi," consisting of Dean Choo Byung-gil of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and about 70 students, was dispatched to seven villages in Muju-gun for three days from the 21st to the 23rd to assist with farm work.

The volunteer group helped daily with tasks such as village environment cleanup and crop harvesting, personally experiencing the value of hard work.
University staff from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and other officials stayed on-site throughout the volunteer period. They did their best to guide and inspect the site to prevent safety accidents, leading a safe volunteer activity without any major incidents.
Dean Choo Byung-gil of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences stated, "Rural volunteer activities hold greater significance as students directly share the difficulties faced by farmers in the agricultural field," adding, "I hope this served as an opportunity for the students, who are responsible for the future of the agricultural industry, to personally realize the importance of agriculture."
