DL E&C announced on the 23rd that it will conduct a 'Small Energy Saving Campaign in Daily Life' in which all employees can participate.
This campaign was prepared to contribute to solving the power supply and demand issues caused by the prolonged heatwave this summer. The purpose is to encourage all employees to make energy saving a habit not only in the office but also in their daily lives and homes.
As energy-saving measures to practice in the office, DL E&C recommended wearing cool clothing, switching PCs to power-saving mode, turning off unused office equipment, and turning off unused lights. For practical actions in daily life, they suggested using stairs in low-rise buildings, using public transportation for commuting, avoiding disposable products, and practicing economical driving.
Additionally, for measures that can be practiced at home, they introduced using a microwave after natural thawing, turning off the bidet heating function, washing laundry in batches, and reducing the warming time of electric rice cookers, urging active participation from employees.
A DL E&C official said, "As power supply issues are recurring every year due to global warming, we planned this campaign to make small energy savings a habit," adding, "We will continue to expand various campaigns and systems that can foster employee consensus on strengthening Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) management."
