Uljugun to Provide Annual 600,000 Won Public Benefit Allowance to Farmers

Applications Accepted at Eup/Myeon Administrative Welfare Centers from the 26th to the 27th of Next Month

Ulsan's Ulju County will provide an annual public benefit allowance of 600,000 won to support the public value of agriculture and rural communities.

The eligible recipients must meet the qualifications of a farmer as defined by individual laws and must have been continuously registered as residents of Ulju County in the resident registration system since at least two years prior to January 1 of this year. The head of a household engaged in actual agricultural management and registered as an agricultural business entity is eligible.

However, those who have had their agricultural business registration canceled or have transferred their registration to another local government during this period are not eligible. Those whose total non-agricultural income exceeds 37 million won, those with delinquent local taxes, those who have received government subsidies fraudulently, and those who have separated their household while actually residing together are also excluded.

Additionally, those who were selected to receive the farmer's allowance in the first half of this year are not eligible for the agricultural public benefit allowance, as duplicate payments are not permitted.

Applications will be accepted at the town and township administrative welfare centers from the 26th of this month until the 27th of next month.

An official from Ulju County stated, "By providing the agricultural public benefit allowance, we aim to promote the sustainable development of agriculture and rural communities in Ulju County," and added, "We hope this will be helpful to farmers who are struggling with poor harvests due to recent heavy rains and heatwaves."
