Job Creation for People with Disabilities and More
Eastar Jet has formed a soccer team by recruiting eight players, including footballers with cerebral palsy disabilities.
On the 23rd, Eastar Jet announced the establishment of the soccer team 'Zeus (ZEUS) FC.' It was explained that the name was created by combining Eastar Jet's flight identification code 'ZE' and the English word 'US,' meaning 'us.'
The soccer team consists of a total of eight members: one coach (Coach Kim Jaeyong) and seven players (Kim Donghyun, Park Suam, Park Haecheol, Son Hyesung, Lee Seunghwan, Jang Junho, Hwang Taekyung). The players will participate in various competitions such as the National Sports Festival as members of Eastar Jet.
Eastar Jet will support various training sessions and participation in competitions, as well as provide employee benefits such as staff airline tickets.
At the inauguration ceremony held the day before at Eastar Jet headquarters in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, CEO Cho Joongsuk said, "The establishment of the Eastar Jet soccer team is hoped to contribute not only to creating jobs for people with disabilities but also to improving the training environment and awareness of disabled sports." He added, "We will work together to ensure that the players can focus on training and achieve good results through various support."
Park Suam, captain of Zeus FC, said, "Our team's ultimate goal is to win the World Cup," adding, "With Eastar Jet's strong support, we will fully concentrate on training and do our best to achieve good results."
