Seoul Metro to Use 'Ttota Subway' App Starting 20th This Month
Complete 6 of 12 Themes and Participate in Survey
Seoul Metro Corporation will hold the ‘2024 Mobile Stamp Tour’ event celebrating the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Seoul subway from October 30 to November 1.
The Mobile Stamp Tour is conducted by visiting theme-based courses selected by the corporation, running the ‘Ttota Subway’ app to perform GPS verification, and collecting stamps. If participants collect 6 or more out of a total of 12 stamps, they are recognized as having completed the tour, can participate in a survey, and receive souvenirs.
This year’s theme for the Mobile Stamp Tour is the ‘50th Anniversary of the Seoul Subway Opening.’ The corporation has prepared 12 themes suitable for autumn outings along with the theme celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Seoul subway opening.
Visiting just one location from the detailed courses introduced under each theme is recognized as completing that theme. Participants need to complete 6 out of the 12 themes.
The 54 detailed courses under the 12 themes are spread throughout Seoul, allowing visitors to explore various attractions. Upon first participation, verification of having boarded a corporation train within lines 1 to 8 is required, and thereafter, GPS verification is done by visiting the detailed courses of each course.
A notable theme in this stamp tour is the ‘Reading Promotion’ theme planned in collaboration with Seoul Library. Participants can visit Seoul-style bookstores operated by Seoul Library, Book Reading Seoul Plaza (City Hall Station), Seoul Book Repository (Jamsilnaru Station), and Seoul Art Book Repository (Guil Station, Sindorim Station) to read books and collect mobile stamps.
This year’s souvenir is a ‘Ttota’ hooded blanket, the corporation’s official character. Participation methods are guided through the Ttota Subway app and website, the corporation’s social media (SNS), destination guide display videos, and promotional posters within stations.
Kim Seok-ho, Head of the Corporation’s Sales Headquarters, said, “To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Seoul subway opening, we have reorganized this year’s Mobile Stamp Tour to increase both citizen participation and satisfaction. We hope this stamp tour will be an opportunity to enjoy autumn and visit various attractions throughout Seoul using the subway as a medium.”
