Temporary CEO Ban De-pit to Lead Until End of Year in July
Strengthening Stable Management Amid Growing Business Environment Uncertainty
Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baedal Minjok, announced on the 23rd that it plans to maintain the current interim CEO Peter Jan Vandeputte system for the time being. Although the specific timing has not yet been determined, the plan is to stably maintain the current system at least until the end of the year and focus on responding to the fierce market competition.
CEO Vandeputte has continuously participated in management for about three years since 2021 as an internal director of Woowa Brothers while serving as COO (Chief Operating Officer) of Delivery Hero (DH). He was appointed as interim CEO through the board of directors in July.
A Woowa Brothers official said, “We plan to continue the current management system for the time being to minimize the impact of leadership changes and overcome the highly uncertain internal and external environment,” adding, “We will continue to devote all efforts to service improvement and enhancing customer value through responsible management.”
