Changwon LG, a professional basketball team, announced disciplinary actions against some players who visited a local 'casino' during their training camp in the Philippines.


On the 22nd, LG issued an apology through their official social media account, stating, "We sincerely apologize to our fans for players Choi Jin-su, Heo Il-young, and Jang Min-guk visiting a local casino and playing games on the night of the 20th, the day before returning home after completing the training schedule in the Philippines."

LG players Choi Jin-su, Heo Il-young, and Jang Min-guk visited the casino after finishing their training camp and reportedly played with a small amount of money. The fact that they entered the casino was discovered and reported by some fans.


LG stated, "As professional athletes, they should have maintained a more cautious and exemplary attitude during the training period, but they visited the casino late at night and enjoyed gaming. We have imposed fines for conduct damaging to the team's dignity and issued a warning to head coach Jo Sang-hyun."


They added, "We will do our best to ensure thorough education and management of the players to prevent recurrence in the future."


Meanwhile, LG conducted their training camp in Manila, Philippines, from the 11th to the 21st.
