Dobong-gu to Host Youth Empathy Talk Concert on September 4... Part 1: Guest Lecture, Part 2: Talk Concert... Featuring YouTuber Moving Water and Singer Yoon Ddan Ddan
Dobong-gu has created a space to discuss and address the concerns and stories of young people.
Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) announced that it will hold the 'Youth Empathy Talk Concert' on September 4th at Seoninbong Hall on the 2nd floor of Dobong-gu Office.
The 'Youth Empathy Talk Concert' consists of Part 1: Special Lecture by a Guest Speaker and Part 2: Talk Concert. Before the main event, there will be a youth policy quiz show with the mayor. The quiz show will be conducted in a Q&A format. The mayor will ask questions about Dobong-gu's youth policies, and participants will answer correctly following the host's guidance. Those who answer correctly will receive a small prize.
In the following Part 1 special lecture, YouTuber Moving Water will give a talk on the themes of 'How to Be Irreplaceable' and 'Happiness.' YouTuber Moving Water gained much empathy by showing the life of a principled office worker on MBC's 'Anyway, Going to Work.' His book, titled Someday You'll Get Fired, The Company Will Go Bankrupt, and We Will Die, discusses the meaning of happiness as defined by oneself and the balance between work and life.
In Part 2, the talk concert will take place. YouTuber Moving Water and singer-songwriter Yoon Ddan Ddan will meet with the youth. They will read stories and concerns submitted in advance by young people and provide a time of recharge and healing through live performances and songs on the spot. Singer-songwriter Yoon Ddan Ddan, known as the 'singer who sings about life,' has released many hit songs such as 'Walking Through Winter' and 'The Night I Miss You.'
Any young person who is worried about employment, job life, or human relationships can participate. A total of 250 participants will be selected, and the results will be individually notified via text message on September 3rd.
Applications can be submitted until September 2nd through the dedicated website or the QR code on the poster. Participants who send in their stories will have a chance to win prizes.
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, "I hope that young people can resolve some of their concerns through this event," and added, "We will continue to create many such opportunities so that the thoughts and worries of young people can be reflected in policies."
