Dong-Eui Institute of Technology Department of Emergency Medical Technology Launches Korean Basic Life Support 'KBLS Provider' Program

Emergency Response Skills Enhanced with Invited Emergency Rescue Expert

The Department of Emergency Medical Technology at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology (President Kim Youngdo) successfully completed the KBLS (Korea Basic Life Support) Provider course for enrolled students over two days from the 13th to the 14th.

Dong-Eui Institute of Technology Department of Emergency Medical Technology Launches Korean Basic Life Support 'KBLS Provider' Program The Department of Emergency Medical Services at Dong-Eui University of Science is conducting the KBLS Provider course.

This training program was conducted through the voluntary efforts of 16 KBLS Instructors from Pusan National University Hospital and Yangsan Pusan National University Hospital. It provided an opportunity for students in the Department of Emergency Medical Technology to strengthen their expertise by combining theoretical and practical training, thereby enhancing their on-site practical capabilities.


The KBLS Provider course, certified by the Korean Association of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, is a Korean-style basic life support program designed to develop abilities in emergency situations. It includes various emergency care skills such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of automated external defibrillators (AED).


Hyun Kwangrok, an emergency medical technician at Pusan National University Hospital, stated, "The KBLS Provider course conducted in collaboration with Dong-Eui Institute of Technology was an important opportunity to provide students with practical education to prepare for real emergency situations. In particular, the students participated enthusiastically, demonstrating a high level of understanding and skill acquisition, which is expected to play a significant role in ensuring the safety of the local community as future emergency medical technicians."


Park Youngsoo, head of the Department of Emergency Medical Technology at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, said, "Through this completion course, students were able to develop the ability to respond quickly and accurately in actual emergency situations. We plan to continue strengthening our cooperation with local hospitals to further enhance students' practical competencies."


The Department of Emergency Medical Technology at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology plans to expand various field-oriented educational programs so that students can receive more professional and practical training.
