Emergency Guidance and On-Site Inspections for COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Ha Yoonsoo) announced on the 22nd that it has urgently provided schools with 'COVID-19 Infection Prevention Guidelines' to prevent infection and curb the spread of COVID-19.
This measure aims to protect students from infection ahead of the second semester, as signs of a nationwide resurgence of COVID-19 are emerging.
The Office of Education distributed the guidelines to each school, which include: ▲ School quarantine systems and management of confirmed cases ▲ COVID-19 infection prevention rules ▲ Implementation of quarantine inspections to check preparations before and after the start of the second semester.
In particular, to prevent infection and the spread of COVID-19, students with severe symptoms are advised to stay home and return to school only after recovering their health and when high fever and respiratory symptoms have disappeared.
Additionally, through joint on-site inspections with the local education support offices, the Office plans to gather feedback from schools and thoroughly check preparations before and after the start of the semester to proactively respond to the spread of infectious diseases.
Ha Yoonsoo, Superintendent of the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, said, "We will establish a thorough school quarantine system and do our best to manage confirmed COVID-19 cases among students and staff so that everyone can learn in a safe environment."
