The Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association announced on the 22nd that it will jointly host the 'Pharm & Bio Innovative Partnership Day' with the National New Drug Development Project Group on October 15 at the Westin Chosun Seoul. This event, organized to establish a framework for technology sharing and open innovation collaboration among domestic pharmaceutical and bio companies, is expected to be attended by about 300 participants including domestic and international pharmaceutical and bio companies, academia, research institutions, and venture capital (VC) representatives.

The event will be divided into two main parts: Part 1, the '2024 National New Drug Development Pharmaceutical & Bio Global Advancement Symposium,' and Part 2, the '2024 Pharm & Bio Open Innovation Plaza.' Key programs include ▲ seminars and conferences on open innovation strategies for pharmaceutical and bio companies ▲ one-on-one partnering networks, along with side events such as university and public technology achievement seminars and improved drug and biobetter achievement seminars.
The Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association is recruiting companies interested in one-on-one partnering for technology exchange until the end of this month. Domestic and international demand companies wishing to participate can refer to the notices on the association's website.
A representative of the Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association stated, “The event, which was first introduced in 2022 as the ‘Open Innovation Plaza,’ has expanded this year as it marks its third edition. We hope it will raise awareness of the need for open innovation in the pharmaceutical and bio market and become a networking platform encompassing the entire industry.”
