Emro, the leading AI-based supply chain management software company in Korea, announced on the 22nd that the adoption of its supply chain management cloud service, 'emroCloud,' is increasing both domestically and internationally.
emroCloud is a cloud SaaS-based purchasing system first introduced by Emro in Korea in 2019. It provides various purchasing functions as a cloud service, enabling fast and cost-effective implementation of a standardized purchasing system. One of its advantages is its flexible integration with existing systems according to corporate requirements and deployment environments.
In the early stages of its release, emroCloud was actively adopted mainly by mid-sized and small enterprises, which have relatively limited IT investment capacity and dedicated operational personnel compared to large corporations. Recently, as demand has increased from companies aiming to transition core business operations, including purchasing, to cloud SaaS-based platforms, cases of emroCloud adoption have rapidly increased among subsidiaries of large corporations and overseas branches.
Since early this year, Emro has consecutively signed contracts to supply emroCloud to European, South American, and Southeast Asian branches of various domestic large corporations in sectors such as materials, chemicals, and services. Overseas branches, where on-premise purchasing system deployment is difficult due to local conditions, decided to adopt emroCloud to strengthen purchasing competitiveness and systematically manage global partners through a cloud-based purchasing system.
A large corporation-affiliated secondary battery materials company has been conducting a project since the end of last year to sequentially expand the purchasing system based on emroCloud to 10 subsidiaries. A global food service brand’s domestic operator has also been conducting purchasing operations through emroCloud since August.
Driven by the growing demand for supply chain management cloud services, Emro recorded cloud usage fee sales of 2.5 billion KRW in the first half of this year, a 14.7% increase compared to the same period last year. With the upcoming release of 'emroCloud v2.0,' which includes expanded purchasing functions such as partner management and cost management, as well as AI modules specialized for purchasing, Emro’s cloud service growth is expected to accelerate further.
An Emro representative introduced, "emroCloud offers a purchasing system that applies Emro’s purchasing expertise and cloud technology in a cloud SaaS format, allowing rapid utilization in purchasing operations." They added, "Recently, overseas branches of domestic companies and local global affiliates have proactively inquired about adoption. As the digital transformation of purchasing operations accelerates, demand for cloud supply chain management services that are easy to adopt and integrate will also grow sharply."
