The food industry has been releasing gift sets that consider both cost-effectiveness (performance relative to price) and health ahead of Chuseok.
Dongwon F&B announced on the 22nd that it has launched over 100 types of 'Dongwon Gift Sets' that add health and practicality for Chuseok. The keywords for this year's holiday gift sets from Dongwon F&B are health, practicality, and eco-friendliness.
First, they emphasized steady-seller gift sets composed of healthy foods such as high-protein nutritional product Dongwon Tuna and Recham Double Light, which reduces sodium and fat.
In response to the high inflation situation, they also strengthened the lineup of practical gift sets. They expanded consumer choices with various price ranges from 10,000 to 40,000 KRW by combining basic items like Dongwon Tuna and Recham with various seasonings such as Dongwon tuna extract, healthy cooking oil, and sesame oil. Additionally, the 'Dongwon Premium T' and 'Dongwon Premium Y' sets, which include the premium rock salt Himalayan Pink Salt, are introduced for the first time.
They continue to operate eco-friendly gift sets made from sustainable materials. These include 'Recycling Plastic' gift sets that apply white cardboard recycled from sterilized packs and recycled raw materials extracted from waste plastic (Cr-PP·Chemical Recycled PP), as well as 'All Paper Package' sets made entirely of paper.
Furthermore, they introduced the new concept Dongwon Mat Cham set, a tuna can that can be eaten directly with rice without separate cooking, and the 'MEGA Tuna Gift Set,' which contains 14 cans of Dongwon Tuna solid meat (90g) in a large round Dongwon Tuna tin case. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the launch of Dongwon gift sets, which have sold a cumulative total of 250 million units to date.
Daesang Cheongjeongwon also significantly expanded its cost-effective set lineup. They introduced the 'Cheongjeongwon Gift Set,' which is packed with Cheongjeongwon's best-selling products; the 'Farm Premium Oil Gift Set,' which contains canned ham made from pure pork and oils; and the 'Traditional Seaweed Gift Set,' which offers various assortments such as gopchang gim, traditional gim, and parae gim. Premium sauce sets, Uljin snow crab special editions, and Hongcho sets are also available.
The eco-friendly packaging reflecting value consumption trends has been upgraded. They enhanced the design by engraving vivid-colored ingredients emphasizing healthy raw materials on the packaging along with an eco-friendly emblem, and applied all-paper package materials as in the previous year. Utilizing the industry's first 'Pulp Press' technology, they created paper trays boasting strength and durability comparable to plastic. The boxes are made from FSC-certified paper and use eco-friendly materials such as soy ink, with water-based coating applied.
Jung Kwan Jang will hold the 'Health with Jung Kwan Jang even during Chuseok' event from the 23rd to the 18th of next month. Various purchase benefits will be provided for steady sellers such as Dabolog gift sets, Hong Sam Jeong, Everytime, Hong Sam Ton, Hwaerak, Hongcheon Woong, Hwangjindan, Cheonnok, Hwalgi-ryeok, Hong Sam Dalim-aek, as well as customized functional and natural ingredient products like Jangsu:Yul, Gidalim Chimhyang, RX Jin Clean, mushroom decoction, and Good Base.
All customers who join Jung Kwan Jang Members will receive additional discounts per product, and during the first 7 days of the event, customers who purchase over 300,000 KRW at Jung Kwan Jang road shops will receive an additional 10,000 KRW point reward. For purchases over 500,000 KRW, an additional 20,000 KRW point reward will be given.
