On the same day, the Democratic Party informed reporters through a notice, stating, "Representative Lee Jae-myung tested positive for COVID-19 and has entered self-quarantine in accordance with quarantine guidelines," and added, "The leadership's scheduled visits to Bongha and Yangsan today have been postponed."
Originally, Representative Lee planned to visit Jinyeong-eup, Gimhae-si, Gyeongnam Province, to pay respects at the late President Roh Moo-hyun's gravesite, followed by a visit to former President Moon Jae-in's Pyeongsan Bookstore in Habuk-myeon, Yangsan-si, Gyeongnam Province.
Due to Representative Lee's positive COVID-19 diagnosis, the scheduled meeting with Han Dong-hoon, leader of the People Power Party, on the 25th is also likely to be postponed.
