Gyeonggi-do Strengthens Competencies of Small Library Activists... In-Person Training from the 22nd Capacity Building Group Training for Small Library Activists Held in Siheung, Gyeonggi Province in November Last Year

Gyeonggi Province will conduct in-person training for 'small library' activists starting from the 22nd of this month.


Gyeonggi Province will hold a total of four in-person training sessions for about 150 small library activists, beginning on the 22nd at Uijeongbu Gajaeul Library, followed by the 29th at Ansan Social Economy Support Center, then on the 5th of next month at Goyang Haengsin Library, and finally on the 12th at Yongin Giheung Library.


This training is divided into three courses designed to help small library activists understand the latest publishing and reading trends and assist them in planning and operating reading programs on site: ▲ Reading Education Ecosystem and Social Reading ▲ Meeting with Picture Book Author Kim Ji-yeon ▲ Picture Book Therapy.


Park Min-kyung, Director of the Library Policy Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Through this training, we hope that small libraries will become focal points of communities within the region and play a significant role in expanding the reading culture base."


Meanwhile, Gyeonggi Province has been conducting small library activist training programs since June, with about 1,400 participants to date.
