Leaked Winner Information Before Broadcast Release
Shunned by Subscribers Amid Scam Coin Investment Allegations
In the Netflix entertainment program 'The Influencer,' the final winner, Oking, was denied the prize money of 300 million won for violating the confidentiality agreement in the contract. On the 21st, Netflix stated, "To maintain the credibility of the program and fairness among the participants, the prize money was not awarded to the winner of 'The Influencer' who breached the confidentiality obligation in the appearance contract."

Netflix explained the reason for withholding the prize money, saying, "Keeping related information confidential before the release of the work is an important measure to ensure that the hard work and efforts of everyone involved in the creation bear fruit and that the intended enjoyment of the work is fully delivered to the viewers. This is also a promise among all the production staff and participants who wish for the success of the work."
Released on the 6th, Netflix's 'The Influencer' is a social network survival entertainment program where 77 top influencers in South Korea, whose influence directly translates to their value, compete to find the person with the greatest influence. The show features 77 top-tier South Korean influencers, including Jang Geun-seok, Ki Eun-se, Lee Sa-bae, Pani Bottle, and Jin Yong-jin, who have proven their influence by gathering a fandom of 120 million across various social networking service (SNS) platforms, competing fiercely to earn the title of 'The Best Influencer.'

However, Oking became embroiled in controversy due to suspicions of involvement in a 'scam coin' (cryptocurrency fraud) and was pointed out as the final winner before the release of The Influencer. On May 27, former CEO of Winners, Choi Seung-jung, claimed on Instagram Stories that Oking’s explanation on a YouTube broadcast after three months was related to The Influencer. He revealed, "On January 13, Yudeokjun and Oking came to my house and said, 'You must never disclose this; if you do, you must pay a penalty.' They said the winner was Oking himself and that he received prize money of 200 to 300 million won."
Previously, Oking was registered as a director of Winners, which was suspected of being involved in a scam coin, placing him at the center of the controversy. At that time, Oking denied investing and claimed to be a victim himself, filing a police complaint against Winners for violations of the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes (fraud) and coercion. However, as more evidence related to Winners surfaced, Oking eventually admitted to investing in the company belatedly, drawing significant criticism from subscribers and netizens.
