[2024 Global Wine and Food Trip]
Geumyang International, Chile·Australia Craigie Range·Sin Quinta, etc.
Asia Economy will hold the '2024 Global Wine & Food Trip' at the Sebitseom Floating Island in Seocho-gu, Seoul, for two days starting from the 23rd. Marking its third year, the Global Wine & Food Trip will feature major domestic wine importers and food companies, providing an opportunity to taste a variety of regional wines and enjoy food pairings.
Geumyang International will introduce 'Ritmo' from 'BORGOTA,' a new category of Chilean sparkling wine, at this event. Borgota is a new style of Chilean sparkling wine category first launched by the Chilean wine company 'San Pedro,' applying the Charmat method. It is a low-alcohol sparkling wine with an alcohol content between 9-10%, featuring a soft sweetness that is not overpowering, fresh acidity, and a light, fresh style with rich fruit nuances.
Ritmo, meaning rhythm in Spanish, represents a daily sparkling wine that accompanies all vibrant moments of life in Latin America. The label, designed with traditional Latin American embroidery, is shaped as a subject reflecting the characteristics of each product. The flagship product, 'Ritmo Extra Brut,' is a 10% alcohol wine made from the Moscatel grape variety, dominated by aromas of peach, quince, melon, and green apple, harmonizing a dry taste with rich bubbles.
New Zealand luxury wine 'Craggy Range' will also be showcased. Craggy Range was established in 1998 as a family-owned winery, focusing on quality from the beginning, starting its wine business in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand, a place untouched by human hands. Most Craggy Range wines are produced at the Gimblett Gravels Winery located in Hawke’s Bay, equipped with top-quality equipment to apply highly sophisticated wine-making techniques, purely expressing the unique terroir where the grapes are grown.
As the winery grew over the years, it was selected as the 'New World Winery of the Year' by Wine Enthusiast in 2014. It is also notable for producing red wines of Bordeaux blends and Syrah, as well as Pinot Noir, which are hard to experience in New Zealand.
Geumyang International will present various wines from Craggy Range at this event. Among them, the main range 'Craggy Range Te Muna' is made exclusively from grapes grown in the single vineyard on Te Muna Road. Thanks to the excellent terroir and suitable weather, the wine offers a complex beauty with subtle aromas, elegant finish, and a solid structure.
