From August 22 to September 6 at Local High Schools and Education Offices
The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Cheon Changsoo) will accept applications for the 2025 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) from 9:00 a.m. on the 22nd until 5:00 p.m. on September 6 (excluding Saturdays and public holidays) at 57 high schools in the Ulsan region and the test management office on the first basement floor of the Office of Education.
The locations for filling out and submitting the application forms are divided into two categories. First, students who are expected to graduate from high schools in Ulsan and graduates should submit their applications at their current (or former) high schools.
Test-takers who are eligible for test accommodations, those who have passed the high school equivalency exam, those whose academic background is otherwise recognized, and graduates of high schools in other regions who reside in Ulsan and wish to take the test in the Ulsan district should apply at the test management office on the first basement floor of the Ulsan Office of Education.
In principle, application forms must be submitted in person by the test-taker. However, those eligible for test accommodations, such as persons with disabilities, inmates, military personnel, hospitalized patients, or those residing overseas as of the application date (excluding those traveling), may have a proxy submit the application, provided that the relevant supporting documents are submitted.
Test-takers must receive the application form provided at the application site, fill it out themselves, and check the printed application. They must then attach a photo and sign or stamp the form. If changes need to be made to the application during the submission period, test-takers must submit the receipt, a change request form (available at the application site), and a photo to the application site.
The documents that must be submitted by all applicants are: two passport-sized photos (3.5cm x 4.5cm) taken within the last six months, the application fee (37,000 KRW for up to 4 subjects, 42,000 KRW for 5 subjects, 47,000 KRW for 6 subjects), and an ID card (for identification purposes).
To reduce the educational expenses of low-income families, the Ulsan Office of Education will waive the application fee for test-takers who are recipients of the National Basic Livelihood Security Program, members of legally recognized lower-income groups, or single-parent family support recipients. Current students are automatically exempt, while graduates and those who have passed the equivalency exam must submit supporting documents when applying.
Those who have passed the equivalency exam, those whose academic background is otherwise recognized, graduates of high schools in other regions, and those eligible for test accommodations must submit the relevant documents to the Office of Education (refer to the notices on the Ulsan Office of Education website).
Admission tickets will be distributed at the application sites (schools and the Ulsan Office of Education) on November 13, and the test will be held at test centers designated by the Ulsan Superintendent of Education from 8:40 a.m. on November 14.
The Ulsan Office of Education will provide separate test centers and rooms for students with severe or mild visual impairments, severe or mild hearing impairments, and motor disabilities such as brain lesions. Test-takers with severe visual impairments will be given 1.7 times the regular test time, while those with mild visual impairments or motor disabilities such as brain lesions will be given 1.5 times the regular test time.
Score reports can be printed online or received in person at the place where the application was submitted on December 6. Test-takers who are unable to take the CSAT due to unavoidable reasons such as natural disasters, illness, final acceptance in early admission, or military enlistment may apply for a refund of the application fee at the application site between November 18 and 22 with the relevant documents.
An official from the Ulsan Office of Education said, "When applying for the test, please carefully select the test areas and subjects that suit you, and make sure to check the detailed information on CSAT application submission provided in the notices on the Ulsan Office of Education website before submitting your application."
